5 reviews for Love, Loss, Laughter & Lust

Zane from MM Good Book Review said about Live According to Buddy in the Laughter section of Love, Loss, Laughter & Lust:

“Absolutely hysterical – if I wasn’t giggling, I was snorting. If I wasn’t doing that, I was cackling. Fourteen pages of life according to penis – or should I say, Buddy. Complete with a cast of characters (YES, it is listed in the beginning), this catalogues Buddy’s journey to, you guessed it, the love tunnel. Buddy considers himself to be polite and smart (MENSA material if he does say so himself), and is only too happy to tell his tale.

Ridiculously funny, amazingly insightful, and just all around entertaining, Lily Velden has hit a home run with this one. Five side splitting hearts for Buddy and his story – If you ever wondered what went through a penis’ brain (because we all know they have one), or just want to laugh out loud for a few, this is the story for you.”

Rainbow Gold Reviews gave Sleepwalking from the Love, Loss, Laughter & Lust anthology 9.5 Post of Gold!

9.5 Pots of Gold from Rainbow Gold Reviews
“This book is full of the feelings and emotions of Matthew, having lost his husband, and the deep despair he feels. I really did feel for Matthew, and could understand how things seemed to bad to him. I loved Elliott though, as he showed that even though he was very attracted to Matthew, that he would not act anything, until Matthew showed him some sign that he was ready. Although it was sad at the beginning, the book was quite the journey of Matthew grieving for his husband, but managing to get through this and start living again, with the help of Elliott.”

Saguaro Moon Reviews gave Invisible from the Love, Loss, Laughter & Lust anthology 4 stars!
“At around 7000 words, Invisible was a quick read that only took me less than an hour from start to finish. It pulled many different emotions from me while I read it from growling at David to tears of sadness for what had happened between these two males. I found myself rooting for the two in hopes they would mend their relationship and grow back together as well as wanting to take them both and give them a huge hug. There was even joy and warmth being felt while reading the short.

I’ve read Dakota Skies by Taylin Clavelli and absolutely fell in love with the book and the short Invisible didn’t disappoint or pale in comparison. Taylin is an amazing author who I would definitely pick up any of her books to read. Thank you Taylin for sharing your stories and characters with me! And can I just say right now…. I want more of David and Sean please!”

Zane from MM Good Book Reviews gave Hunter or Hunted? from the Love, Loss, Laughter & Lust anthology 4 stars!

“A quick (albeit very intriguing) short story, Hunter or Hunted? is the tale of the chase between William and David, from the perspective of each of their minds. Each thinking himself the hunter, David and William were basically stalking their prey. With every word, the tension continued to build, leading up to the payoff – their ultimate encounter, which was worth the well-written wait.
William and David. Hunting each other.

Which one is the hunter? Which is the hunted? Take a few minutes and see if you can make that determination – I couldn’t. I am not usually a fan of the back and forth of head hopping, but it really worked here. I found this to be captivating, sexy and entertaining from the first word to the very last.

Kudos, Lily Velden, for this well orchestrated cat and mouse game. I really enjoyed myself, and recommend this to anyone looking for a quick, sexy read.”
