  1. LAZ & LACHI Publications

    :

Three is Not a Crowd….indeed it isn’t and it made for some very interesting reads. I went into reading this book with a few pre-conceived expectations. Happily, the variety of stories in the book exceeded my expectations and surprised me. I very much enjoyed each story concept. Each author brought their own flavor to this anthology; therefore, there is a little bit of something for everyone. The threesomes range from M/M/M to M/F/M and not all of the couplings are what you would expect. There is also variety in the genres which include contemporary and paranormal/fantasy.
The only problem with the book, I wish the stories were longer. It would be fantastic to read more about these characters and find out what happened after, and for some of them, what happened before. That’s not to say you won’t enjoy simply reading what’s written. I’m just greedy and always want more. I enjoyed the shorts from some of my favorite authors and found new ones to add to my TBR list. Great job and I look forward to more anthologies from Wayward Ink Publishing and this excellent group of authors.

    :

MM Good Book Reviews has this to say about the stories making up THREE IS NOT A CROWD (average of individual story ratings – 4.5*)

B.A.D. BOYS by Lily Velden (5*)
Wow what a start! This story was short but You know what they say…good things come in small packages! Lily really grabbed my attention form the first paragraph. Once the trio got in the elevator it was a bit predictable but it was so fun and sexy! There is also a sense of humor as well! I loved this story!

ME, CALLUM, AND DINGOMAN by Asta Idonea (3*)
This one just didn’t hit me like the first. It is cute and fun. If you like super hero’s you will like it. There just wasn’t much to it for me though.

KNOWING HOW HE FEELS ABOUT YOU by Eric Gober (5*)
Sean, Chad, and Kyle are squad mates. It did take me a bit to figure out they were cheerleaders not ball players. Though both Kyle and Sean are from money and Chad isn’t, they have been best friends through college. Chad has had a secret crush on Kyle ever since they met. Sean is just the opposite. he isn’t Chad’s type at all.

This one was longer and was like reading a novella. It was intriguing and interesting. I kept reading to see where the story was heading then a twist and man oh man I sure did not see that ending coming!

I have never read anything by Eric Gober, but I sure will be now!

    CHIMERA by Alina Popescu (5*)
David and Terry have known each other forever and have been together since college. David has begun having very vivid, strange dreams and is convince he had a twin. His parents are convinced he is crazy.

This is a strange story that is dark yet has a sweet undertone of romance. I loved Terry’s conviction to David. The writing is vivid and I would love more of this story!

LIFE BY EVEN NUMBERS by Kay Ellis (4*)
Flynn is a very small effeminate looking man. He gets bullied still as an adult. He is 25 and reluctantly went to his birthday party some of his coworkers set up for him at a local bar but he keeps waiting for someone to tease him. He meets Riley one of his secret crushes from the office and is surprised when Riley asks him out.

Riley has a boyfriend and they have an arrangement. Though sleeping with Flynn is ok kissing him and taking him to their bed is not. Plus Riley feels the need to protect Flynn and wants more with him.

Mitch figured out that Riley broke the rules and worries that Flynn will take Riley until he meets him in person.

This was a very good story. I liked all three characters. Having a few quirks of my own I can really relate to Flynn. I loved Mitch’s protectiveness as well. Great story.

I will be looking for more from Kay Ellis!

LOVE IN 1975 by LV Lloyd (3*)
This story is set in 1975. Warning a woman is involved. Richard meets Laura at a Party. They are both authors for the same publisher. He is immediate attracted to her though he feels a bit guilty since he is involved with Bill. Bill has not been coming around much lately and that gives him more and more time with Laura.

Bill realizes there is a problem and doesn’t want to lose Richard but doesn’t want to be with him and a woman.

I liked the story. It had a good plot and was fairly complete for a short story but for me it was just ok.

THE PROPOSAL by Eddy LeFey (3*)
Malcolm has been friends with Jack and Thomas for three years. Thomas and Jack like a third from time to time and that is how they met Malcolm who refused but became best friends with them. After yet another break up Thomas and Jack have a proposal for Malcolm.

The story was ok there just wasn’t much to it other than Malcolm musing how he met the men and what he should do. I would have loved to read this in novella form it really had a lot of promise.

CHANCE ENCOUNTER by Aimee Brissay (4*)
Daniel and Michael are in a sex store. Daniel has issues and Michael is trying to help him past them. They are looking around and Daniel is curios and aroused by some of the toys. Michael hints he misses some as well. Enter the store manager Nick and shall I say t got very hot from there.

This story was good. It hinted at some stuff I would have loved to know more about such as what is wrong with Daniel and more about how they met and their relationship. I would definitely buy this book if it was a novella. I will be watching for Aimee Brissay!

EXPLORING HEAVEN by Rian Durant (5*)
What better way to end a book. This book came in fast and furious and goes out the same way! At first I had misgivings with this story since it appeared the dog was the one with the sexy thoughts. Once it became clear this was a shifter story I fell in love.

I will admit it is unlike most shifter books I have read before. So you get unique as well as extremely sexy with a touch of humor and romance as well.

This was one of my favorite books in this collection. I hope you enjoy it as well.

4.5 OVERALL RATING FROM MULTITASKING MOMMAS

    B.A.D. Boys by Liy Velden
The B.A.D. boys are trapped in an elevator. Unfiltered personalities come out to the fore. The behaviors are stress induced due to claustrophobia or just feeling plain scared. Of course, when the stress levels increase from 10 to 100 in a few seconds flat, there are only so many ways one can react. Well, B.A. and D. (yes, they stand for Brad, Aiden and Danny) realize either they go for it, or maybe die before enjoying life. What a way to go!

Me, Callum, & Dingoman by Asta Idonea
is a paranormal with a twist. It involves, just as the title implies, three individuals but in the body of only two individuals. One of these, the third in the mix, is someone whose persona is quite unique and super. How handles this alter ego, now that is something to read about.

Knowing How He Feels About You by Eric Gober
is about three cheerleaders. They are friends first and foremost so enjoy the good life as only college students can. That is, until something breaks their humdrum flying and catching and feelings kept secret reveal themselves.

    Chimera by Alina Popescu
Now, this is a strange tale. Is it Dissociative Identity Disorder, is it memories long thought forgotten resurfacing, or is it simply a matter of family keeping secrets from a child who survives? These are the questions that leave the reader guessing until the end. If you know where to spot the clues, then you will get the answer on the first go. If you glance around and come back, you’ll get lost in the maze of the uncharted human brain. Interesting. Compelling. Weirdly strange. Keeps you questioning until the end.

Life By Even Numbers by Kay Ellis
Oooh, what will you do when the eye is caught, the interest piqued and the unexpected love blooms. Is it cheeting? Is it sharing? Is it understanding one’s partner’s needs? When a third gets in the middle of a twosome, will it go result to splitsville or become a threesome? Questions rise and can leave the reader reeling. The answer, now that journey is strangely compelling. What would you do?

Love in 1975 by LV Lloyd
What would you do, again, if your best friend and lover is bi and falls for a third who happens to be a woman? It is 1975 and things taboo were frowned and ostracized. How the three manage the relationship that seems one sided is an interesting look into throuples. Who is who and what is what?

    The Proposal by Eddy LeFey
One plus one equals two. Two plus one is not necessarily going to be three. If two ask one to join, will the third add or subtract? The process is easy to reach, the resulting answer, now that is interesting to read!

    Chance Encounters by Aimee Brissay
Oooh, this one is naughty and involves toys to the max that can send one to giggledome or bleaching their eyes and brain. Thing is, playing is different when it’s for keeps.

    Exploring Heaven by Rian Durant
as a doggy knows it. Rottweilers are incredible creatures. This is a paranormal shifter story so the dogs with a personality gets kind of strangely weird and loyal, especially when the mate is found but the bond with the human refuses to lay down. Oooh, if only we can tell love to sit and stay.

Three is not a crowd when arranged and understood the right way. Written by the incredibly imaginative authors of Wayward Ink, this is entertainingly unique, strange, and somehow impossible to put down.

  4. FROSTY'S BOOK CORNER
    4 out of 5

    :

    B.A.D. BOYS by Lily Velden
OMG, I laughed so hard at this one! How to be inappropriate whilst on the lift, indeed! To be perfectly honest, i didn’t want it to end :( at least not for the next 30 minutes in storytime 😉

I sure hope Lily has future plans for the BAD boys!

ME, CALLUM, AND DINGOMAN by Asta Idonea
This reads like a journal entry right off the bat. But I think that’s how it was supposed to feel. A short and sweet tale of Mark and Callum, and the superhero, Dingoman.

However, this feels like a prelude to a bigger tale. Nicki, are you sure there isn’t one lurking in the depths of your notes? Because, I for one, would love to read more about their adventures!

KNOWING HOW HE FEELS ABOUT YOU by Eric Gober
OMG! This one is a real, raw, and very, very unexpected. Eric’s stories always have something special in them, be it an emotional journey or a good amount of humour. This one however gives us a slice of real life and its darker sides, the ones we tend to gloss over whilst telling a romantic tale.

For half the readers, I will put a tissue alert, and for the other half— well, let’s just say it will take you a while to stop smiling! 😉

    CHIMERA by Alina Popescu
Oh Alina, now I get why you said this was one of your favourites! The name, I’ll admit, had made my mind run elsewhere; especially when we see how much anguish poor David is in. But, I have to say I hadn’t seen that ending coming.

Loved how the emotions in this story was handled, how we see three different reactions to the same incident, and finally get the sense that for these three, there is hope.

LIFE BY EVEN NUMBERS by Kay Ellis
This is one of the sweetest and emotional stories I’ve read. The honesty, the optimism, the feelings and most of all the sweetness in this story is a definite tissue alert. This one shows us how we can find home when we look for it in the right place, and people who love us, do so for our idiosyncrasies and not despite them. :)

LOVE IN 1975 by LV Lloyd
This one depicts a true dilemma and shows us how love can conquer all. Angsty and sweet at the same time, Richard’s dilemma really makes us think what we would do if we ever were in the same position.

Definitely a piece that’s best set in the ’70s, it shows us a side of unconventional relationships and how with love, understanding and most importantly trust, we can achieve anything we set our hearts to.

    THE PROPOSAL by Eddy LeFey
Navigating friendship with not one but two best friends can be difficult, especially if the two are best friends as well, now imagine your heart thrown into the mix.

Jack, Thomas and Malcolm have been each others’ support systems for a few years now. One can even say they’ve been in a domestic relationship where only Jack and Thomas are in a sexual one. They’ve found the perfect balance and it works for them. Malcolm definitely wasn’t expecting this particular wrench thrown in the way. Eddie gives us an insight of how Malcolm handles such pressure. 😉

    CHANCE ENCOUNTERS by Aimee Brissay
    HOT HOT HOT!!!

Okay so, I sat wondering for a good long while, and that was all I could come up with! I sincerely hoped the story wouldn’t end; not so soon at least! I wanted more action. Dammit, Aimee! Why did you have to finish it there? Grrr… I really wanted to know how much more these three can heat things up when they make it to a bed. 😉 lol

    Soo… Tissue alert!

    EXPLORING HEAVEN by Rian Durant
WOOF! Such a sweet story. Simon and Chris are something special! How can anyone possibly not fall for either of them? And Shelly gets a shot at having both. 😉

Now to see how each of them reacts to having the two others for bed-‘mates’.
